The Old Union last ones
From the depths of the workshop emerged a small pile of the last remaining original Salsa bait holders. These were the humble beginnings of Salsa in the midst of the 90s recession-ridden Finland, on the eastern border, in the city of Joensuu. And oh boy, was it fun to drill these bait holders by hand, day in and day out, week after week, month after month, and year after year. I fondly remember those times, rubbing my sore elbows from the drill in the evenings. Some of the bait holders were painted with the year’s ax and hammer motif, while others I conjured up in the dark corners of the paint shop in a nostalgic haze, using the trendiest colors of recent years. There aren’t many left, and there won’t be any more coming.
With a heavy heart, I bid farewell to these treasures of my retirement days.

or perhaps from an endless passion of a little boy, hellish perseverance, or simply pure madness.
